Mina Nagata – Piano

Mina Nagata was born in Japan and received her first piano lessons at the age of three. Between 1990 and 2001 she studied with Yuriko Ueki, Prof. Katsumi Ueda and Keiko Matsuhama. Mina Nagata won numerous youth competitions. From 2002 to 2009, she attended the degree program “Diploma Music Teacher” in the class of Ok-Hi Lee / Prof. Rudolf Meister and “Diploma of Artistic Education” with Prof. Paul Dan at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Mannheim. She won several awards among others the 1st prize in the international competition “Gianluca Campochiaro” (Italy) and together with Claudia Schmidt (violin) the 2nd prize at the “Heinrich-Vetter-Förderpreis” (Germany). She appears in numerous concerts as a soloist as well as a chamber musician. In September 2008 she played with the TfN Philharmonic under the direction of Wolfgang Wengenroth. She participated in masterclasses with Barry Snyder, Martin Hughes and Bernd Glemser. In addition to her solo and chamber music performances in Germany and abroad, Mina Nagata is also a passionate teacher. She teaches children and adults.
